We are packing for our trip to Florida to spend Thanksgiving week with Mara’s parents. This will be the first time they see her as a woman. Mara is excited and emotional. She said she will probably cry on the plane. I’ll be there with her every step of the way. Mara’s parents are accepting, especially her mother. But Mara is still emotional because this is a big step for her. I get to be her rock, and I’m definitely up to the task.
